Aftercare - Tattoos
Healing time 3-4 Weeks
If Tegaderm type bandage was used, leave on for 4 days.
Then pull edge like a 3M Command Strip to remove.
If another type of bandage was used leave on for 2-3 hours, then remove and clean.
Wash your tattoo with clean hands and fragrance free antibacterial hand soap such as DIAL ANTIBACTERIAL.
Pat dry with a clean paper towel.
Apply a thin layer of Hustle Butter or AQUAPHOR OINTMENT.
DO NOT US NEOSPORIN OR VASELINE.
This should be applied 3-4 times a day or when ever your tattoo feels dry. Do this for 5-7 days until your tattoo begins to peel.
When you begin to peel, your tattoo will flake like a sunburn, just let this happen on it's own. (DO NOT PICK AT IT.)
When your tattoo enters the peeling phase, discontinue AQUAPHOR OINTMENT, and use a fragrance free lotion. (LUBRIDERM or CUREL)
Apply a thin layer of lotion to your tattoo when it feels dry until the tattoo heals completely.
Gently wash your tattoo in the shower.
Never soak your tattoo while it is healing.
DO NOT:
Do not rebandage your tattoo; it needs to breath in order to heal completely.
Stay our of chlorinated water such as pools and jacuzzis as well as bathtubs and any outdoor bodies of water for three weeks.
If scabs form on your tattoo, do not pick at them or rub them.
Let them heal naturally.
POST HEALING:
If you us a tanning bed, cover your tattoo with a towel every time. If your tattoo is going to be exposed to the sun, apply a generous layer of sunscreen to your entire tattoo.
Aftercare - Piercing
Mix 1/4 teaspoon of non-iodozied sea salt with 1 cup of warm water.
Soak piercing 4-5 minutes daily for about 5-10 minutes using a small cup or clean paper towel.
ORAL CARE
Rinse with BIOTINE mouthwash or an anti-microbial, alcohol-free rinse.
Use 4-5 times a daily for about 30-60 seconds.
Avoid over rinsing as it may cause discoloration or adverse effects.
FOR ORAL PIERCING WITH EXTERNAL JEWELRY
Lip, labret, cheek.
Clean outside surface with sea salt as instructed.
Avoid the swap of bodily fluid for the first 2-3 weeks of healing.
HELPFUL TIPS
Avoid touching piercing unless necessary and make sure hands are clean.
Keep makeup away from your new piercing!!!
Do not use any ointments, creams or chemical solutions to heal piercing.
Swelling, tenderness & small amounts of bleeding is normal during the first week.
Remember to tighten the balls after each cleaning.
